Zamoskvorechye is a district that is located south of Moscow, on the right bank (south) of the Moskva River (the name means "over the Moskva River"). Home to the famous train station Paveletskaya. Zamoskvorechye district is a mix of ancient and modern.

Steeped in history tsarist Zamoskvorechje preserves buildings with features impressive facades of the Stalin period. Despite his "sad architecture", most of Zamoskvorechye is fairly quiet, with many roads where you can breathe the atmosphere of the heart of Moscow.

The district can be considered as the center of the "Moscow Orthodox." Here there are: the Church of the Resurrection of Kadashi, the tallest building in Zamoskvorechye, which can still be seen from Red Square, an elegant example of Moscow Baroque; the Church of Our Lady of Consolation, empire style; the Church of St. Nicholas in Pyzhi, white and blue with five onion domes.
